TRAVEL

WOW! The last trip to Clark County was jammed packed visiting family and friends. So much so, I’m not even sure where to start. The photos above are friends that Donna and I connected with, separately or together, either for a drink, meal or just a short visit. Starting with Ronnie & Sandra Steigman, our old neighbors and good friends; then Theresa Baker, our favorite retired web master; John & Lynda Idsinga, our house-sitting owners; Ron & Tricia Bergman, my old boss at both Clark County and the City of Portland, and his lovely wife; Vicki Lowe, our favorite Starbucks barista; Shelli Tompkins, past co-worker at the City; Ron Bergman again with Jo Berg, past co-worker at the County; Candace Hansen, our favorite independent barista; Colleen McGary, past co-worker at the County; and Gordon Dawson, past co-worker at the County. All are wonderful friends that we keep in touch with! The weather was great while there! Donna has seen it all while she house-sat for good friends John & Lynda Idsinga for seven weeks. I mostly had dry weather for my las short 4 day visit, with one morning of rain that actually felt great to me. We get rain in North Texas, but it just pours for an hour more or less, so I really enjoyed the short bout of NW rain that has already become "just a memory"! Our visit ended on Tuesday going through John and Lynda’s 7,200 mile road trip to Alaska, including the Yukon and western Canada. They had some great stories and beautiful photos of places they visited. Donna and I were in Anchorage in the mid-80’s and their photos brought back memories of our long-ago trip! For everyone who took time out of their busy schedules and lives to see us . . . . thank you!
