ally like mentioning family and friends in my blog postings. I am proud of ’em, and hey, they might read the blog once in a while if they get mentioned! So today I want to mention my favorite son-in-law, Marc Ueltschi! (ulchee) Marc is a huge hunting fan - deer, elk, turkeys and more! We’ve attended a few of the big blow-out 4th of July BBQ’s at he and Amanda’s home, and watched Marc shoot for accuracy. Well, I’m proud to say Marc was in a Sharp Shooting Competition in August where he shot 205 out of 300 and ended up in 5th place. There were about 12 guys the first time. He then shot in another competition the end of September and this time shot 203 out of 300 but came in 4th. Marc is consistently 15 to 17 points from first place. He is currently ranked in the top 5 locally. He is shooting at a silver dollar sized target which is a small arms target meant for shooting from 50 feet. He is shooting from 100 yards! You have to hit black to score, and he shot 27 out of 30 in the black with two perfect bull’s eye. I also want to mention Marc and Amanda are also the ticket chairpersons for the SW Washington Friends of the NRA committee. Each March they hold their annual banquet, and 100% of the money stays in Washington State. That money is spent on programs like Washington State Hunter Education, youth and adult firearms safety programs and range improvements. They attended their first banquet seven years ago and joined the committee three years ago. The banquet grows larger every year which is great! Last year it was on our granddaughter Ashley's 12th birthday so she had over 500 people sing her Happy Birthday! They are really trying to turn the banquet into a family event and Mandy & Marc have often mentioned how much they enjoy it! Waaay to go Marc and Amanda!
