TEXAS LIVING!

Well! Let’s see – what’s new? I’ll start with interesting feedback about our blog visitors. I think I mentioned some time back how my daughter’s ‘bestest’ friend Cameo had helped me with the code to track blog stats. We continue to get interesting visitors from around the world. After my last posting and opinion about the proposed I-5 bridge replacement project, we had visitors from the Texas Department of Transportation and the Washington State Legislative site. Texas DOT has visited before. I’m guessing they have interns who ‘Google’ certain words and/or phrases. I’m still disappointed no one comments on my opinions! I do get an occasional e-mail tho! I guess I can ‘believe’ if no one wants to debate me, I must always be right! And be assured, Donna and my three kids would dispute that! And the weather? North Texas weather is darn near perfect for this time of the year. It’s about 1:30 p.m. CST right now and it is 65 degrees, sunny and lots of blue sky. It is predicted to be around 70+ degrees by Friday. We love the weather, but it doesn’t quite feel like Christmas! And speaking of Christmas! Wade, Michelle and Connor will be driving to Lubbock this week-end for their Christmas with Michelle’s family. They will be back here Christmas Eve day, and we will spend the evening and the night there for Santa’s arrival Christmas morning. We will then have Christmas dinner here. Menu unknown! This morning I volunteered to drive a patient from Melissa to Medical City in Dallas for a surgery appointment. Later tonight Donna and I will go back to get him and take him home. You have to feel bad for people in need who have no one to help them. Another reminder of just how lucky some of us are. Appreciate what y’all have!

Hey, how did I miss this post? I'm mentioned in in it CORRECTLY as Amanda's bestest friend! And I too say Christmas Eve day, because there is a difference. There's Christmas Eve day and Christmas Eve night. See? I knew I belonged in this family!
