WOW! It has been a year already since Donna and I spent two weeks+ in London and the Costa Del Sol on the southern coast of Spain in early March of last year. Most of our time was spent along the Mediterranean in Spain, visiting Sevilla, Nerja, Mijas and Algeciras, while staying at a gorgeous time share facility in Malaga called Matchroom Country Club. We also spent three nights in London and two nights in Madrid. We really enjoyed the Cost Del Sol region, spending time in many other cities besides those listed above. We also drove to the southern tip of Spain in Tarifa, passing by the Rock of Gibraltar. While visiting Tarifa, we could look across the Strait of Gibraltar and see Africa. From one point, Africa was straight across from where we stood, with the Atlantic Ocean on our right and the Mediterranean Sea on our left. Very KEWL! The blog title photo is the Balcony of Europe in Nerja, looking north along the Mediterranean. The six photos above are: 1) Donna in front of Big Ben in London 2) Donna in the Plaza Mayor in Madrid (too early for Donna for coffee) 3) Donna standing in the gardens of Plaza de America in Sevilla 4) a view of the Atlantic Ocean through the ruins in Tarifa 5) a local farmer who stopped for cigarettes at one of the coffee stops while on an 8 hour back-country Jeep excursion 6) Donna doing what she does best, shopping!
