Do you remember my earlier posting about our furniture fiasco? Well, we still haven’t received our recliner. I have called twice this week and finally got a return call today. Now guess what? The factory in Mississippi that made our furniture has closed! Crap-O! It just doesn’t get any better. The store owner claims he found another factory that makes the same design and within two weeks we should have our recliner. Yea, well, maybe when pigs fly! We’ll see. I was asked this week about who all has visited since we relocated to Allen from Washington State. I had to think about that for a minute. First of all, I would hope by now that family and friends all know they have a standing invitation to come any time! The guest room and bath is always ready! Let's see tho, Aunt Cleo, Aunt Bev & Uncle Ron, Missy, Miranda, Brad twice, Brenda twice, the Ueltschi family, and Toby twice on the Cross side - and that would make it Cross family (11 visits), Beseda family (ZIP) Wassup with that? Plus numerous friends from Washington! Candace Hanson, Ron & Sandra Steigman, John & Lynda Idsinga (twice), Pat McDonnell, Monte & Karen Brachmann (twice), Josh Behrens, and then Josh again with Megan Morley, and Ron & Tricia Bergman. Reservations now being accepted! Today we visited the Dallas Arboretum for the last weekend of Dallas Blooms. There were over 400,000 flowers planted and in bloom a couple of weeks ago. Most of the tulips were done by our arrival, but the Arboretum is beautiful even with spring flowers no longer in bloom. It was a ‘tad’ windy for photos of flowers this morning, but we did manage a few. The photos above are some of my favorites! There were several brides having photos taken around the grounds, as well as young Hispanic girls for some kind of celebration coming up for teenagers (so Donna says – and I believe everything Donna says!). If you want to see more photos, let me know – I have about 60 in a Kodak album.
We haven't posted anything for around 6+ years! It's time to get back to it! We will be posting a new label about North Texas Smoke & Arizona Livin' - be sure and read 'em if you like to eat or keep up with our smoking news for North Texas Smoke & misc. recipes!

It's called a Quinceanera. When a Latin girl turns 15 she has a huge party with 15 attendants (or 14, she makes the 15th girl... I think, I didn't have one). It's on par with a wedding, very grand. And I will take your blog post as an open invitation! I'd like to make reservations for next weekend please, and I prefer my eggs scrambled with cheese with whole grain toast, bacon crisp and the OJ fresh squeezed. Thank you!
The Dallas Arboretum looks beautiful!
You've been tagged for a meme. See my blog for details.
Good luck Suzy, I've waiting for him to do a meme for MONTHS! Bruce????????
Ok Cameo & Suzy! Here's the deal - I just don't have that much to say about myself to participate in your meme. I'm a pretty boring and ordinary guy! Cameo - get your reservations made, I make some mean scrambled eggs with Maytag blue cheese. And Suzy! Do you wanna make a wager on the Packer Seahawk game this year?
