TEXAS LIVING!
Let’s start with Texas living, Alone! --- With Donna in Battle Ground and me here alone, I’m getting a taste of what Donna does each and every day - housework, laundry, cooking, etc. I especially like doing laundry! NOT! That is the one thing I usually haven’t had to do in our 37+ years of marriage, Donna always does the laundry. On any given day I can always go to my closet or bureau drawer and get out something clean and smelling wonderful. But this week – it was a tough decision because I was out of clean under shorts. I figured I had three options - start a new rotation and wear my same underwear again, maybe go with no underwear, or lastly, wash a load of clothes. Easy enough! I washed a load of colors. A load of white’s is next! Dining out! --- I had the pleasure of being invited to dinner at N9NE Steak House at Victory Park this past week to celebrate Wade’s father-in-law Dennis’ birthday. It was wonderful food with excellent service. I had the ‘Garbage’ (yep! A little bit of everything) salad and the nightly special, the fillet sliced into medallions, and we all shared side dishes. Wade, Michelle and I split a dessert, the ever popular Smores. Oh man! A tray with a small flame (Sterno maybe?), marshmallows and graham crackers with deep, dark chocolate drizzled across them. How fun was that? Just like the old camp-fire days, roasting marshmallows right at the dining table! Quite tasty! Special thanks to Cindy for including me in Dennis’ celebration! No way to start the day! Got up this morning at my usual wake-up time, around 6 a.m. – went out and got the morning Sunday paper, grabbed a cup of coffee, checked e-mail, and then went in to brush my teeth. I reached under the bathroom cabinet for my little bathroom box of toothbrush, tooth paste, razor, mouthwash (with fluoride of course!), etc. Grabbed the tooth paste and started to place on my new tooth brush when I noticed I had picked up the Neosporin tube. YUK! Caught it just in time! Grabbed the other tube, placed a nice, neat row of paste along my brilliant blue brush and started brushing my teeth, just like Donna promotes. Oh crap! I had grabbed the tube of Lamisil! Now I keep the Neosporin and Lamisil in a zip-lock bag. I should have thot of that earlier! BTW – Lamisil might be good on the heels for dry skin, but it tastes like &^%$#!
