TEXAS LIVING!
..........OH NO! . . . I GOT FARKLED! Yesterday I learned to play Farkle (aka Farkel, Zonk, Zilch, Hot Dice, Oh Crap, and many more names). Bob & Roxie, good friends here in Allen brought the dice game back from a recent trip to South Florida to see family and friends. You play with 6 dice and the game can be learned in minutes and played by all ages. Fun game with lots of variations for scoring, rules, and amount needed to win. If you ‘Google’ it, you will learn waaaay more than you need to know! Thanks Bob & Rox! And speaking of Bob & Roxie, the above sunset photo was taken on their recent Florida trip. I know some of you readers aren’t too ‘hot’ on sunrise and sunset photos, but I am! My blog, my rules! Also shown above is the back of the CD cover for our neighbor Marty Cobern and his first CD, “One Day”. As you can see, Marty sings some well-known hits. You may have read in earlier postings that we have traveled several times around the area to local Opry Halls to catch his act. He really does have a great voice and you can catch his web site at www.martycobern.com His web site is still evolving, but you will get a feel for what’s coming. And my personal favorites of Marty’s CD? Marty’s signature song, “Elizabeth”, “Play Me the Waltz of the Angels”, and “You and Only You”. If you want to hear any of Marty’s songs, leave me a comment and I’ll e-mail you the songs.

I'll have to check on the dice game. I'll ask Roxie when she comes to the center. If I was younger, I'd want to check out that neighbor! And I love the song he sings.
Hey Bruce you know I would love to listen to Marty's music. Also a great fan of the sunrise and sunset pictures posted. HUGS, Aunt Cleo
