TEXAS LIVING!

Well! Here it is 11 a.m. already. Hot again here today in North Texas so I got started early on my projects. The hole in the bedroom ceiling is about done. You may remember an earlier posting and photo. The hole has been trimmed and cleaned up to the trusses and new sheetrock placed. I’m now using Fix-all to make the patch transition at the joints. Hope to spray the texture later this week. Then touch up the paint. I also replaced the damaged down-spout (ask Donna how that happened ) on the car-port and replaced elbows on the front down-spouts. I fertilized plants again this morning and dead-headed per Donna’s instructions. Our Kennedy Rose in the backyard has two blooms and a third about ready to open. Hopefully I can get a decent photo in the next few days. I have the new patio umbrella and will get that put up later today. I also made the appointment for the duct cleaning for next Wednesday. Now what for the rest of this hump day? I think I’ll drink my new beer and read in the sun for an hour or so this afternoon. And my new beer? It is called Three Philosophers and is rated with an A- on beeradvocate.com. At $10.99 a bottle – it better be damn good! Y’all have a good day!

I've heard the Three Philosophers is good...but I'm no beer lover so I haven't tasted it. However, I do like the picture of my niece on the fridge in the background (at least it looks like my niece).

It is your niece - good eye! I hear you're going to Wisconsin soon. Have a wonderful trip! I remember our visit to THE CABIN back in September, '06! Such wonderful and gracious hosts! I have a couple of nice photos from that area from our trip.

Howdy family and friends! As suggested by one of our Facebook friends, we are gonna try the ‘blog thing’ again. If you visit our past bl...
