TEXAS LIVING!

The BIG news here this week-end was “Ike”! For the Texas gulf coast, it was devastating. But here in Allen? Ike was the great “Non-Event”! In the almost three years we’ve been here we have had much more rain and much higher winds than we had as fall-out from Ike. Once Ike hit land, he took a more easterly route north and spared the Dallas Metro-Plex. As this morning’s Dallas Morning News reports, a massive search and rescue effort is now underway in Houston and the surrounding area for the estimated 140,000 people who ignored mandatory evacuation orders. The following link will take you to today's hurricane photo gallery in the DMN. You will need to copy and paste into your browser.
