TEXAS LIVING!

Well! We're getting excited! We have company arriving today from Battle Ground, WA. Good friends Jim & Sue Pillette will be here for 8 days – their first visit to Texas! Tonight we are going to Oktoberfest in historic McKinney and tomorrow we are driving to Shreveport/Bossier City, LA. to play and eat at the casinos. Monday and Tuesday is undecided, but we will probably drive around the local area; visit Billy Bob’s, the world’s largest Honky Tonk, in historic Fort Worth; dinner with Wade & family; visit Southfork Ranch; and maybe take in the life sized dinosaur exhibit with Connor Cross at the local Nature Museum. On Wednesday we leave for a 3-day road trip. Wednesday we’ll head to Austin and hopefully see the Mexican brown bats before they head out for the winter. We’ll take in Music Row and see the State Capitol. Thursday morning we’ll head for Lake Travis, Johnson City, Luckenbach, Fredericksburg, and Kerrville on our way to San Antonio. Thursday night we’ll walk the Riverwalk and have dinner and some shopping out at the Historic Mexican Square. Friday morning will be the Alamo and maybe the Historic Mission tour. Then we’re headed north for Allen. We think we’ll stop in Salado from a late lunch. Friday night will probably be chillin’ at home. Saturday morning we’ll to the Texas State Fair and see visit downtown Dallas on the way home. Jim & Sue will leave early on Sunday from DFW and Donna and I will probably take a nap on Sunday afternoon! Then Donna heads to Battle Ground October 14th for two weeks, and then we might have more friends here around Thanksgiving.

My parents were at the Alamo when they went to TX in Feb. Sounds like you have busy, busy plans! And I just might run in to your lovely wife while she's here. Is she going to be here for Halloween? Trina and I take the kids to Amanda's office and start our trick or treating in BG there. Would be great for her to see Valentina in her un-costume. Don't think I'll be able to coerce her into her princess one that I bought. Asa, of course, will be dressed up. Not sure WHICH of his 2 costumes he'll choose to wear.

Howdy family and friends! As suggested by one of our Facebook friends, we are gonna try the ‘blog thing’ again. If you visit our past bl...
