In one of my earlier postings I mentioned the toilet photos! I was asked what those were. Well, several months ago I dropped my 14 oz. coffee mug in the guest bathroom and broke the ceramic bowl in the darn toilet! I replaced the toilet and set the old one out back. I planted Texas wild flowers in it and keep it between the garbage tote and the recycling tote. My neighbors love it!
Well! It’s almost fair time in Texas! YAHOO! One of the many things I miss about Clark County is the annual County Fair and being on the Fair Board. I really miss the Onion-Aire booth and the peach milk shakes from the Dairy Wives booth. But through friends and my buddy Barney at the Nebraska Fair, I still keep in touch with what goes on in the industry! Of course the big news here is the Texas State Fair which starts its month-long run on September 28th. Seven new fair foods make their debut this year: Deep Fried Lattes; Fried Cookie Dough; Zesty Fried Guacamole Bites; Fried Peach Cobbler on a Stick; Fried Chili Frito Burrito; Fried Banana Pudding; and Mama’s Fried Sweet Potato Pie. See a common theme here? All fried items! If anyone wants the description of any of these ‘really healthy’ treats, let me know!
Gasoline is still going down here! With my monthly purchases this month at Tom Thumb using my store card, I qualified for another discount. Gas was only $2.39 this week! What-a-deal! I’m sure glad the Tahoe’s big gas tank was empty!

$2.39!!!! Holy crap!!! I keep telling Amanda that we all need to move down there! Housing is cheaper, gas obviously is cheaper! And what exactly is a fried latte? I'd love to hear more details about ALL of them, but especially the latte.
I am interested in all those "fair" foods. When I went to the fair it was cotton candy, which I didn't like, and corn dogs. Does that give you a clue who wrote this!!? Yes it's your Aunt in Nebraska
