It has been a busy week here in North Texas! Wade & Michelle have been really busy getting packed and moving to their new home in Frisco, Texas. Michelle’s mom Cindy, has been here this week doing more than her fair share helping with the packing. I got off kinda easy I guess! I made a couple of trips with my trailer and the Tahoe filled up, and also watched Connor for a couple of sleep-over's and day time stays. How hard can that be? Not very with Connor – he’s very easy! We played lots of catch with his football and his softball sized balls. He shot hoops and kicked his soccer ball around the back yard. He has quite an arm on him! We read and practiced his counting. He rode with me to take a load to the transfer station and we got to watch the big excavators working! The photo above is Connor’s new ‘digs’!
What else? Some time back I mentioned in an earlier posting about cutting back on the clothes washing by wearing my underwear inside out to double the wear time. Just kidding you know! But I did pick up another trick to cut down on the washing – after I change the sheets, I sleep on one side pf the bed the first week, and then the other side of the bed the 2nd week! How sweet is that? But now I leave early tomorrow morning for Battle Ground and I’m playing catch-up! Doing laundry, vacuuming, some dusting, mopping floors, have a grocery list ready for our return late next Wednesday, pulling dead plant sin pots that couldn’t take the Texas heat, and more! Whew! I’ll be glad when Donna gets back after seven weeks. I certainly have much more respect for the house-wives of the world!
Our time, well at least mine is already booked pretty solid when I get to Washington. Donna is invited to all, but not sure how many events she’ll get to. Tomorrow after I arrive it is sushi with good friend Candace Hanson; then dinner with good friends Sandra & Ronnie Steigman; Monday morning early is breakfast with my sister Brenda; then off to coffee with good friend Theresa Baker; Monday lunch is Josh & Megan, Jamie & Steve, and Jamie & Kyle. We’ll also get to see two new babies – Cooper belongs to Jamie & Kyle; Peyton belongs to Josh & Megan, and Jamie & Steve are very pregnant! For those of you who don’t know, Josh and his sister Jamie we consider our 3rd son and 2nd daughter. The other Jamie is Josh & Jamie’s step-sister. Got all that? Monday night is dinner with Ron & Tricia Bergman in Vancouver, Ron is my old boss at both Clark County & the City of Portland. They are very dear friends and we house-sat for them last summer! Tuesday morning is coffee with our good friend Vicki Lowe; Tuesday lunch is current County employee and friend Jo Berg, and then off to Portland for a beer with past County employee and good friend Gordon Dawson. Then it is dinner with the family – Marc & Mandy, Toby & Jocelyn, and I’m not sure if Ashley & Kyle are going or not. Regardless, I have to see them at least a couple of times and then I need to see Donna’s dad & step-mother. Wednesday morning early is Coffee with good friend Shelli Tompkins; Wednesday noon we fly back! Sometime in there we need to visit with John & Lynda Idsinga, the owners of the home Donna has been house-sitting. I’m already tired thinking about our schedule! I’m gonna have to come back to Texas to rest up! Right?
We haven't posted anything for around 6+ years! It's time to get back to it! We will be posting a new label about North Texas Smoke & Arizona Livin' - be sure and read 'em if you like to eat or keep up with our smoking news for North Texas Smoke & misc. recipes!

Hey Bruce you tire me out with all your plans and that is just sitting here reading it. I am not sure I could do all that when I was your age. Oh what a long time ago. Always enjoy your postings and the pictures. I think you got the fun/easy job with the move. Hanging out with Connor-what fun!! Hugs to all the family. This is your Aunt Cleo
