TEXAS FOOTBALL! How about ‘dem Cowboys? YAHOO! Five and oh! Go figure! That Monday night game was something! And I will be the first to admit that I haven’t been a Cowboys fan since the Landry days, and especially the last few years with Bill Parcells. But heck, everyone loves a winner! Next week’s game between Dallas and New England, both undefeated, should be a TV ratings winner for Dallas and for Jerry Jones. The rich get richer! And speaking of football, our local high school team, the Allen Eagles are also still undefeated. They are rated 3rd in State I think and 2nd locally, behind the national power-house, South Lake Carroll. Good luck to them this Friday! New subject! Rachael Ray! I have usually tried to watch her shows on the Food Channel – Eating On $40 A Day, 30 Minute Meals, and now her new show. I usually learn something! And we have visited several of her restaurant choices. But I’ve been disappointed with her lack of response to a pretty easy question. I have received several auto-mated replies that she is out of the office and will return my inquiry as soon as possible. Well! It has now been three months and I’m still waiting! When we visited Spain earlier this year and toured the olive orchards, we were told to NEVER cook with Extra Virgin olive because it will cause your food to taste burned. Rachael Ray always says, “Use EEVO” - not virgin olive oil or regular olive oil. So who is right here? I’d still like to hear back from Rachael! It is just good customer service, especially if you say you will get back to me!
