TEXAS LIVING!

Is there a pot-of-gold at the end of the rainbow! Happy St. Paddy’s Day, y’all! Hope everyone is doing well! Our weather is still around the mid-70’s and very comfortable. It is nice having the front door and the patio door open for the breeze. Gas was $3.05 this week at the local grocery store chain pumps. With summer here I imagine it will get much worse before it gets better! This past week I felt a little tired and then developed a sore throat Tuesday night. I attributed it to working long hours with the new store opening. But then I developed a ‘hacking’ cough as the week progressed. Finally gave up and went to the urgency care clinic yesterday to ‘test’ my new health insurance. And the good news? . . . The insurance and follow-up prescriptions worked just wonderful. The bad news? . . . Yep, another bout of pneumonia. After having a breathing treatment and a shot in the butt, and then obtaining four prescriptions, I’m feeling much better today. I have had bouts of pneumonia several times in the past 30 years, so I know the drill. Lots of rest and lots of good drugs! When I got home Donna was talking to someone in Hilo, Hawaii. I had sent them our house-sitting resume’ in June of ’06 in response to their ad in one of our house-sitting newsletters. They had sent a nice e-mail back saying they had someone already and could they keep our e-mail exchange for a future opportunity. DUH! You bet! Well, they want us April 29th – June 12th. What a bummer – I just start a new job and we’re already committed to Cabo in May. Maybe next time.

HI Bruce & Donna,
I finally located your blog again; it's been awhile since I've had access to the internet. I've spent over 4 hours on line today, inbetween doing a few chores on the boat. I love your blog, it has a little of everything and it's a good place to voice what's happening and what's on your mind. Sorry to hear that you are feeling poorly but with a little medical assistance you're probably good to go again. Your new job sounds great, researching first is the way to go. Sounds like you picked a good company. I want a smart car too, once we get land based again that is.
I'm updating our blog, did some today but still have several entries to make to get caught up.

Howdy family and friends! As suggested by one of our Facebook friends, we are gonna try the ‘blog thing’ again. If you visit our past bl...
