This posting could just as easily be labeled in the travel category, but it is really about family! Well, it was another west Texas road trip. This time we drove to Lubbock on Saturday to surprise the Lubbock family at little Blake’s 1st birthday. It was a party at Chuck E. Cheese! YAHOO! Never miss one of those. And special thanks to Matt & Monica for the birthday party invitation; and to Dennis & Cindy for Sunday Brunch at the Country Club. Michelle and Connor then rode back with us Sunday afternoon. On the Saturday trip, we stopped in Abilene and had lunch at the O’Connell’s. We missed Kayla on the last trip so that was a bonus to see her, and they fed us too! Doesn’t get any better than that!

Chuck-E-Cheese!!! That's where I need to take Asa too next! Trina is adamant that he never go inside one of those. He's already begging to go because he sees the commercials. Her response? "Asa, it's not age appropriate." Guess I'll take him as a bday present, heehee... and yes, I know I'm asking for payback IF/when our daughter ever comes home. Oh well.
