Ok! Here is a football update from Cribbage Flat Southwest. WOW folks! Allen High School pulls off biggest up-set in school history. Allen lost their first game this season and it was their only loss this year to Euless Trinity, but bounced back with a huge win in the Region 5A finals yesterday. BTW - for you non-Texans, the City of Euless is just south of DFW airport. Euless was rated #1 nationally in the USA Today's Super 25 high school poll. The Allen Eagles will now play Round Rock Stoney Point next week-end in the State semi-finals. Below is the opening headlines in today's Dallas Morning News and a link below to the rest of the story! "ALLEN SHOCKS No. 1 EULESS TRINITY! State power sees 27-game win streak end in regional final. IRVING - No turnovers on offense, big plays on defense and a touchdown scored on special teams. Then, to finish it off, a long scoring drive that drains the clock and breaks the opponent's back. All the ingredients Euless Trinity used in its 27 straight wins were on display Saturday at Texas Stadium. But it was Allen that used them to to cook up an up-set in the Class 5A Division I Regional I final." And how about that offensive display last night by Oklahoma? I was kinda hoping Missouri would win to give Texas a shot at the national championship. But the way OU has played their last five games, I think they have the best shot at winning it all and representing the Big 12. GO SOONERS!
