TEXAS LIVING!

Shown here is good friends Bob & Roxie! We were getting together around Mardi Gras time, and they came all 'decked out'! They are always soooo much fun when we get together for cribbage, Kings Cribbage, Farkle, or Marbles & Jokers. Well! Living in North Texas and close to the Dallas Metro-Plex sure gives me lots of fodder to post on my blog. The Dallas Jail flunks 7th inspection; Trinity River controversy; and now – the infamous Dallas cop incident. In today’s Dallas Morning News he has issued an apology for his behavior. With today’s technology, and especially the dash cams in Police cars, you’d think a little more thought would go into your actions when the possibility of world-wide exposure on the Internet is a possibility. DUH! But working in local government for 33 years and now in the private business environment again, what have I learned? You don’t have to have any common sense to work and live in today’s world. And how about this North Texas weather? It is currently 35 degrees this morning at 9 a.m. and who knows what’s next. Just two weeks ago we sat on the patio grilling dinner and visiting with family and friends over dinner. Yesterday we had a tornado watch, but we’re certainly luckier than many other parts of this great nation. What’s frustrating is that you can’t believe the weather forecasts. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – “little boys that lie . . . . Grow up to be weathermen”!
