FAMILY!

Recently my 58 year old brother-in-law Nin Beseda competed in a bench press contest for his age in Washington State. He weighed in at 196.2 pounds, just under the weight limit of 198.4 pounds. He hit a lift of 358 pounds on his first lift and 377.9 on his second lift, bettering the State record of 365.9 pounds. Nin went on to lift 396 and 418 pounds. Nin had to lose 17 pounds to lift in the 198 lb. weight class. Nin now holds the State bench press records for his age at the 198 pound weight class with 418 lbs. and the 242 pound weight class with 457 lbs. This next year Nin is hoping to break the current State lift record of 479 pounds in the 220 weight class. Go get ‘em Nin – you make us old guys proud! Nin also helps train 19 year old family friend Jay Carlile who benched 600+ pounds – pretty phenomenal since these contests are drug free. And also a quickie note about my grandson Kyle in SW Washington State. He continues to excel at competition shooting and has now moved into air rifle competition where he recently shot a score of 98 out of 100. Is the U.S. Olympic team in our family future? How cool would that be? Grandma and I are very proud of you Kyle – keep at it!
