TEXAS LIVING!
Hey readers! . . . . Long-time-no-post for me I guess. We’ve just been really, really busy. Our computer finally has ‘bit-the dust’. Hopefully this will be the last time I use it. It is a Dell and has been an awesome computer for almost seven years. I tried to add memory, and found out my ram is some obsolete ram manufactured by DRAM. The cost to expand our memory was cost prohibitive as compared to ordering a new computer with today’s technology. The new one has arrived, and I am now in the process of cleaning out the old one. WOW! You can sure accumulate a lot of ‘junk’ on your hard drive in seven years! The new computer does not have a floppy drive, so we also had to go through over 70 floppy diskettes, seeing what we wanted to keep and what we didn’t. Anything we wanted has now been transferred to CD’s. I found the floppy’s that had a family reunion from Wyoming, and that also gave me some old photos of my mother, whom we lost in 2002. That was a bonus! This blog has been an interesting project. With some free statistic tracking via a support web site, we are able to see who looks at the blog by world map. I can compare that to domain names, and then sometimes figure out who my visitors are. It is absolutely amazing how visitors from around the world can find something so unimportant and uninteresting as our blog site. But several are returning, regular visitors. Go figure! One of our readers is from Brazil and I have to translate his comments on a translation web site. He writes in Portuguese. The whole blog experience has been very interesting and now time consuming, as the more visitors I get, the more they expect. Weather here is gorgeous! Tuesday’s temp was 16 degrees above normal, yesterday was windy, and today is much colder. We will be back to warmer weather again tomorrow. Rain is predicted next week and we could sure use it! Well! We’re off to deliver Meals On Wheels. C ya! . . . . Oh yea! One other thing - if you have left comments, thank you! And special thanks to Cameo for her comments!
